touchscreen "mouse mode" does nothing

I have a Dell latitude 7390 2-in-1 with Fedora 42 and the latest xfce to which I switched manually, with a touchscreen. It seems to be detected as three devices (?) as per the mouse settings dialog: "Wacom HID 4841" finger touch, pen and eraser. There's also a "Dell0823:00 044E:120A" mouse, but I guess the touchscreen is the "Wacom HID 4841 finger touch" cause disabling makes it so the touchscreen doesn'work, and changing the rotation setting in the tablet tab drives it crazy (what's that for anyway?)
But the thing is I want to use the touscreen in relative mode or "mouse mode", ie., as if it was a touchpad, when I tap it records a click, and when I drag my finger, the arrow moves but it doesn't go to the location of my finger. But selecting "mouse mode (relative)" in said tab changes nothing. The touchscreen keeps working in tablet mode, ie., where i touch, the arrow goes, and if I move my finger, it is recorded as a click and drag.
Can it be fixed? thanks
