Hi!
Today, after the next standard packet updating in the XFCE4 on Debian, installed through Termux, I caught a strange and in no way soluble problem:
XKB: Failed to compile keymap
Keyboard initialization failed. This could be a missing or incorrect setup of xkeyboard-config.
(EE)
Fatal server error:
(EE) Failed to activate virtual core keyboard: 2(EE)
xfce4-session: Cannot open display: .
Type 'xfce4-session --help' for usage.
I suspect that some new xfce4 package updates conflict with the xkeyboard-config package, but this is only a version.
Please tell me, is there a solution to this problem or should I wait again until the developers see the error and release updated packages?

I am facing the same issue. Were you able to solve it?

Solution found on Github:
"If you have updated to xkeyboard-config 2.45, the proper workaround will be as following.
rm -rf $PREFIX/share/X11/xkb
ln -s $PREFIX/share/xkeyboard-config-2 $PREFIX/share/X11/xkb
The symlink was not created properly after the update. Looking into it...".
But I myself had previously solved the problem differently:
1) deleted xkeyboard-Config (and the XFCE4 automatically removed with this package)
2) again installed the xkeyboard-Config and XFCE4 (all the XFCE4 settings remained!).
3) reinstalled Termux X11.
The problem was solved.
