Manually save and restore session

Hi,

normally i don't save sessions. This option is disabled. I use an "exotic" xorg-configuration on my old notebook. I enable this config with a little script that renames a xorg config file from "99-zaphod.config.old" to "99-zaphod.config" and restart the display manager. Only in this case i want to save and restore the session. This should be possible with this command line

dbus-send --session --dest=org.xfce.SessionManager --print-reply /org/xfce/SessionManager org.xfce.Session.Manager.Checkpoint string:""

Only a few window are restored (xfce4-terminal, firefox, thunderbird). Other applications (geany, thunar, google chrome) aren't.
