Cannot Drag Multiple Icons Between Monitors

On a multi-monitor display, if I select multiple desktop icons on one monitor and try to drag them to another, only one of the icons gets dragged. I saw someone filed a ticket describing the same issue (https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfdesktop/-/issues/390), but it looks like there's been no movement on it over the past six months, so I was wondering if anybody had found a solution or workaround.

I'm on Xubuntu 25.04, xfdesktop version 4.20.1, running on Xfce 4.20 with X11.
