Announcement: xfce plugin to make QR codes

Just a small announcement, I'm releasing a plugin for xfce4-panel that
deals specifically with making qr codes easily and quickly.

Overview of features it has so far:

  • An easy to use plugin for xfce-panel that allows you to type text and generate QR codes on the fly.

  • The side-by-side view allows the QR to be easy to capture by e.g. a phone.

  • Adjustable guard for how much text can be written/inserted.

  • Press Esc to close the plugin in addition to clicking away.

  • Option to generate a new QR only when the QR image is clicked. Nice for slower PCs.

I've been testing it for a few months and it behaves great so far and fits my workflow perfectly.
Let me know if you see anything weird or you like it etc.

I want to implement some features in the future, but really keep it centered around QR codes:

  • multiple types of qr codes.

  • some QR personalization - logo in the middle etc.

  • experiment with multi-QR arbitrary data transfers.

You can get prebuilt packages here: https://getmorepkgs.surge.sh/archive/xf … qr-plugin/
