DisplayLink USB display not working properly

Hello everyone,

my company has been using USB displays from DisplayLink for a long time without issues. However after updating our OpenSUSE Tumbleweed distribution to the newest version, we have encountered a bug with DisplayLink USB displays which are not powered on after booting the OS. There is no pattern in this behaviour, but one of a few reboots, the display stays black although it is detected in the OS.

Yesterday I tried installing Ubuntu and the display worked great, until I installed XFCE. After a few reboots the display shows the same buggy behaviour as it does in Tumbleweed therefore my theory is the problem is on XFCE side.

After rebooting, syslog shows this:

2025-09-03T09:15:54.642139+02:00 ubuntu kernel: message repeated 5 times: [ [drm] wait for urb interrupted: available: 0]
2025-09-03T09:15:55.666127+02:00 ubuntu kernel: [drm] wait for urb interrupted: available: 0
2025-09-03T09:15:59.762128+02:00 ubuntu kernel: message repeated 4 times: [ [drm] wait for urb interrupted: available: 0]

Then after reconnecting the display:

Has anyone experienced something like this?
