In the panel, the Firefox icon is displayed for running programs instead of the floorp icon.
Is there any way to change this?

What version of xfce4-panel are you running?
Are you using the Window Buttons (tasklist) plugin or xfce4-docklike-plugin?
Look at the floorp.desktop file. Note the "Icon=" line and the "StartupWMClass=" (if it exists) line. Make sure the names listed there are resolved by your icon theme.
You can also run "xprop" in a terminal window and then click on the floorp window to see which icon and name properties it is advertising.

"icon" and "StartupWMClass" point to floorp.
And "xprop" displays the Firefox icon under "_NET_WM_ICON(CARDINAL) = ".

The xfce-panel version is "4.20.5 (Xfce 4.20)".
The icon theme is "Colloid-Dark" and has a floorp icon.

Which distro are you using and how did you install floorp?
I just tested with ArchLinux + Colloid-Dark and floorp-bin from the AUR and it works fine. The icon appears and xprop shows the floorp icon as well.
