Yesterday and today, after logging in, the Xfce desktop shifted to the right by about 1/2 inch or so. This has only occurred once each day, so far. It leaves a black space on the left side of the display and when moving the mouse, it cannot go beyond the actual Xfce desktop.
Upon logging out and logging back in each time, without rebooting the system, the desktop then appears as expected. Is there anything that could be causing this, or something I can look at? The monitor is a Samsung 22-inch LED, using the HDMI connection.
I am on openSUSE Tumbleweed, with Xfce 4.20 and X11 is using its built-in modesetting driver. Thank you in advance.

I would try to use the radeon driver (xf86-video-ati package), which should be the default, instead of modesetting.
EndeavourOS
Xfce+gtk3-classic (no CSD)+Picom

That appears to have corrected the issue. Thank you.
