Custom action to zip files so it will work on Windows Operating System

I would like to learn how to make a custom action that compresses files using zip.

I need compressed files that Windows can open.

Thanks,

Re: Custom action to zip files so it will work on Windows Operating System

If you have thunar-archive-plugin installed, you will get a context menu to create/extract from archive files including zip, which can be read by Windows.

If you are specifically looking for custom actions, there are some here at the thunar custom actions page that you can model after.
