GTK4-nocsd

I used and even package the GTK3 variant of this, on AUR, it is pretty useful. However, I thought I'd announce that I have created the GTK4 version (also for libadwaita), and it is also on AUR. Feel free to test it and give feedback.

Re: GTK4-nocsd

I tend to avoid packages that force CSD on the user whenever possible. Usually avoiding Gnome packages is enough.

Re: GTK4-nocsd

Mostly that is the case for me as well. But there are certain apps where there aren't too many other options. The 2 most popular native XMPP apps, Dino and Gajim both have forced CSD (Gajim can remove CSD, only for some windows and does not bring back SSD). I use Gnome Calls, which to this day is the only software capable of making calls from a GSM modem. Easy Effects is also the only native, themeable frontend for live audio effects on PipeWire. And lastly Android Translation Layer is something like Wine for Android (at one point might replace Waydroid, since it is much lighter and allows more desktop integration, even theming). For now there aren't too many, but it is a growing list
