Hi folks. I wanted to center time in the panel, so after some suggestions, I settled on creating 3 panels, and the center one with enough width having clock led me to this where the date item is center and 2 separator items on either side with expanded option but this leaves shadows on either ends of the center panel shown below. I've also tried both solid color and selecting a background image with the same color with no shadows in it but the shadows end up showing:
Did anyone else face this issue?

That's 3 panels? Why?
Anyway, if so maybe it's panel overlap. You could reduce the panel width by the needed amount. If you have any transparency set, remove it.

I don't know about the shadow (some custom CSS code active somewhere?), but a new option has recently been added to the separator: manual size adjustment: https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-pane … 98053fde14
It will be available in the next development version 4.21.1, or by building from the git repo...

Interesting. Currently I also need to use 3 panel to have absolute centered items on the panel https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?pid=80477#p80477. With the new option of the separator, is it possible to have absolute centered items on the panel without having to use 3 panels in my case?

On reflection, I'm not sure it's very practical: one separator extended on one side, and another set manually on the other? And then the plugins on the side of the manually set separator mustn't change size... Perhaps in some cases it will still work, thus avoiding the need to resort to the 3 panels.
