screensaver(screenblanking) troubleshooter app

Hi,

my screen sometimes won't go blank, and I don't know why. an help would be appreciated.

is there an app which can help me troubleshooting why my screen doesn't go blank?
I would be expecting it to write something like the below to stdout:
your screen will lock in 3:17
your screen will go blank in 3:17
the following app(s) prevent the screen from going blank: mpv
you screen won't go blank because of your settings, to to settings->whatever->bla->etc and check the settings you see

Re: screensaver(screenblanking) troubleshooter app

Hello and welcome.

Providing some system details (like distro, version of Xfce, screensaver you are using) would be helpful in providing an answer. In the meantime, have a read through https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=14926 to see if there is anything helpful there.

Re: screensaver(screenblanking) troubleshooter app

hello and thank you, I'm using up-to-date manjaro. I'm using xfce 4.20. unfortunately it's a hard to reproduce bug (or at least I don't know all the conditions for it (yet))

thanks for the help, I submitted two bugs elsewhere, maybe that will fix it
