Emergent issue (black pixels in Thunderbird password window) ...

Hi to everyone.  I'm hoping someone can help.  Recently, black pixels have started appearing in the password window for Thunderbird (I am using a primary password for extra safety).  This was not an issue before.  Boom; it's an issue all of a sudden.  I do not know what this could have been caused by.  See pictures below.  The black pixels do not always appear, though.  And when they appear, maximizing the window then returning it to its normal size fixes the issue.  It's annoying.  I have tried disabling compositing, but it still happens.  I have tried deleting the session cache, but that doesn't help.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thanks.

(For reference, I am on Debian 13.1 XFCE [version 4.20], and use a RX 6600 XT.)

Update:

Disabling hardware acceleration in Thunderbird seems to have fixed it.  But I don't get why it's a problem now.

There's not been any recent updates that could've caused this.  That's part of what's perplexing about the situation.

Any insight anyone can provide would be appreciated.  But yes.  Wanted to circle back and share what the fix was.
