Hello Everyone

Hello all.

I'm a retired techie now living in the Upper Midwest of the US (first snow of the season as I type this  — not much).

I've been a Linux user since 1996 and have used XFCE on virtually all of my machines for maybe 15 years.  Recently, I set up three Linux boxes with XFCE4 on Debian 13 and ran into a series of annoying glitches that took way more time to sort out than is usual on this lightweight and capable desktop.  I found several solutions in this forum and decided that I should — finally — register so I could ask here myself.  And maybe help others now and then.

Re: Hello Everyone

Welcome to the forum.

What were the "glitches" if I can ask?

But it's all right, when you're all in pain and you feel the rain come down
It's alright, when you find your way, then you see it disappear
It's alright....

Welcome to the forum.
Our first day with a wintry mix - snow, sleet, rain in the mid-Atlantic region.
Your experience with Linux and XFCE sounds a lot like mine; although, I have not yet had any glitches I could not resolve.

Do no harm.

Re: Hello Everyone

Welcome! I just joined the forums as well. I'm currently in Kansas City, but I call Portland, OR home. I will be a retired techie in 3 months and I can't wait!
