How to disable external monitor

I connected Elgato Prompter that act like external monitor with DisplayLink drivers. It works out of the box and prompt multiscreen setup. I created the profile with both monitors. But when I disconnected the device I still have a blinking cursor (that appeared after I connected the device) and I can go outside the screen on the right (the place where I've had the monitor.

Is there a way to restore to original state, without killing a Xfce session? I don't want to restart every time I connect Elgato Prompter.

Re: How to disable external monitor

Have you tried using xrandr or Xfce's Display Settings tool to force reset the layout to single-monitor immediately after unplugging Elgato Prompter, or does the system retain the old profile regardless of manual intervention?

Re: How to disable external monitor

The problem may be with the drivers. They fixed the issue with a refresh, and now it works fine. But I also disabled the display in Display Manager before unplugging.
