Xubuntu 24.04 issue with font rendering

Hello

I updated Xubuntu 22.04 -> Xubuntu 24.04 on my Virtual machine and noticed strange font rendering issue.
I always disable anti-aliasing and use Verdana 13 for all desktop fonts.
I notised that letter "a" after "F" draws incorrectly:

And now Xubuntu 24.04 the same Verdana 13

Is it something with new settings?
Can it be fixed?

I would like to add that all configs the same - hinting is slight, anti-aliasing is off.

If I turn off hinting font looks the same. This defect appears only if hinting is set.

It looks like your using two different applications for your examples. Have you tried just using the same application?

It looks like your using two different applications for your examples. Have you tried just using the same application?

It doesn't change anything - the same look in any application for Verdana 13
