Hello,
I am using Desktop: Xfce 4.18.1 tk: Gtk 3.24.33 - info: xfce4-panel wm: xfwm 4.18.0 vt: 7 dm: LightDM 1.30.0 Distro: Linux Mint 21.3 Virginia - base: Ubuntu 22.04 jammy. For a few days now, I have been having problems typing using the XFCE terminal. Once opened, typing becomes slow and impossible to manage.
In addition, when I right-click on a file on the desktop, the pop-up window that appears tends to flash or even disappear. Similarly, when I drag a window, other open windows often overlap without me touching them.
I updated the NVIDIA drivers to version 590.48.01, thinking it was a graphics card issue, and updated the kernel to version 6.8.0-90-generic x86_64 bits, but without success.
Even now, when using xed, typing is slow, and I have to wait for each character to be entered. Do you have any advice?
Thank you.

Is there something using resources? What does htop tell you?
But it's all right, when you're all in pain and you feel the rain come down
It's alright, when you find your way, then you see it disappear
It's alright....

The 590 and 580 drivers gave me flickering issues.
Currently using nvidia 570.211.01 driver with no problems.
