Looking for a light browser

I'm running xfce4 on a fairly old machine (G630, 8GB ram). If I open more than couple of windows of firefox everything grinds down to halt as FF is a hog.

Any suggestions for a light but usable browser (everything will render correctly w/o consuming gigabytes of RAM)?

Thanks

No such thing as far as I know. Dillo is great but doesn't render everything. Some will be just text.

I've used this on an ancient Sony Vaio/xfce. It's lightweight and pretty much renders everything while easy on resources. YMMV, but it's portable, so no harm, no foul.

Re: Looking for a light browser

I have heard that Lynx is a very light weight and fast web browser. It can also be installed via apt:

sudo apt install lynx

Keep in mind that the browser is text-based, so I do recommend reading about it first.
