Hello !

EDIT="Xfce"
DESCRIPTION="Linux Mint 22.3 Zena"
DESKTOP=Gnome
TOOLKIT=GTK

GRUB_TITLE=Linux Mint 22.3 Xfce
As soon as I use Firefox, the option, by right-clicking on the desktop, "Next wallpaper" disappears.
I solved the problem by creating a new item in the dashboard, named "Wallpaper_Next" and whose script is "xfdesktop --next".

the option, by right-clicking on the desktop, "Next wallpaper"
This option doesn't seem to exist on the default Mint install. Is it something that you added?
I solved the problem by creating a new item in the dashboard
What is this dashboard you are referring to? Do you mean the panel?
When the option exists, can you open a terminal window and run the following command:
ps -ef | grep -i desktop...and post back the output?

Ok. So its a thunar custom action that disappears for some reason when firefox is run. That is weird.
Is firefox a snap or flatpak install? I wonder if the xdg-desktop-portals are interfering. You can test this by closing firefox, killing the 3 xdg-desktop... processes and trying again. Once firefox is running, check again to see if the xdg-desktop processes have restarted.

Thank you for your help.
This is a feature that is installed original, it is not an option that I have installed.
My version of Firefox is the one that is provided, as soon as Linux Mint is installed, which is maintained by this distribution internally.
Here is the screenshot, which shows the version and what Task manager says, with the screen change that works, then that no longer works :
http://totoettoto.free.fr/Firefox_version.jpg
We can see that there is no change in the tasks.

This is a strange problem. The option you are referring to appears to be a thunar custom action (which are also displayed on xfdesktop), but it makes no sense that it disappears when firefox starts.
Can you post back the results of the following commands:
which firefox
flatpak list
snap list
cat ~/.config/Thunar/usa.xml
cat /usr/share/xdg-desktop-portal/xfce-portals.conf
cat ~/.config/xdg-desktop-portal/portals.conf

As soon as I use Firefox, the option, by right-clicking on the desktop, "Next wallpaper" disappears.
I don't think the "Next Wallpaper" option comes from Xfce. It's not in your custom actions file and its not a part of xfdesktop. Something else must be managing your desktop and for some reason, when firefox starts, xfdesktop takes over. Its very confusing.
It would be interesting to see if "ps -ef | grep -i desktop" is different when the option exists, and when it doesn't.
You also have a few flatpaks installed and I'm wondering if they are somehow interfering. Unfortunately, I have no experience with flatpaks.

Firefox is ON and Next Wallpaper is broken:
ps -ef | grep -i desktop
gnome-r+ 737 1 0 16:56 ? 00:00:00 /usr/libexec/gnome-remote-desktop-daemon --system
philippe 1286 1068 0 16:57 ? 00:00:00 /usr/libexec/xdg-desktop-portal

philippe 6946 6939 0 17:47 pts/0 00:00:00 grep --color=auto -i desktop
Firefox is OFF and Next Wallpaper works :
ps -ef | grep -i desktop
gnome-r+ 737 1 0 16:56 ? 00:00:00 /usr/libexec/gnome-remote-desktop-daemon --system

philippe 6962 6939 0 17:47 pts/0 00:00:00 grep --color=auto -i desktop
No difference ?

Can you also post back the output of:
envAnd can you try creating a second user account on your computer and log in from there? See if the option exists before and after firefox starts.
