Long-term plans for Xorg/X11?

Now that we're getting a Wayland compositor, I'm wondering what XFCE's long-term plans for X11 support are. Will XFWM and XFWL be developed and maintained side-by-side, or is the idea to eventually phase XFWM out and only support Wayland once the latter is stable?

Re: Long-term plans for Xorg/X11?

From: https://wiki.xfce.org/xfwl4_faq:

What's going to happen to xfwm4 and X11 support?

xfwm4 will continue to work as an X11 window manager as it always has. Xfce should continue to run on X11, and there are no plans currently to drop support, or change things so parts of the desktop only run properly on Wayland.

More info in the FAQ.
