Hi,
I'm using, actually, Xfce4 on Debian Sid (Xfce4 v4.20.1), with 3 monitors.
I'm searching the way to modify the placement of the desktop icons, and that Xfce takes this into account!
The problem I'm facing is as follows:
- I want the desktop icons on Desktop 2, which is to the left of the primary (Desktop 1).
- I know about the desktop configuration on Settings > Desktop (Paramètres > Bureau, like you can view on below screenshots)!
- If I checked the option "[ ] Montrer icônes sur l'écran primaire" (certainly in EN: Show icons on primary desktop),
- If I copy/paste the icons on desktop 2
Xfce ignores this choice or manually configuration; the next time I log in, the desktop icons appears on Desktop 3 (right on the primary desktop)
Where or How I can modify and save my choices about the placement of those desktop icons?
a file to modify? or calling a binary?
I did indeed see that some config files existed: "~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/"
in particular: "~/.config/xfce4/xfconf/xfce-perchannel-xml/xfce4-desktop.xml"; into this file, a property "desktop-icons" exists;
Is this the one that needs changing? If so, what needs to be changed?
