xfce4 weather plugin

Here is what I have installed on different machines:
Xubuntu 24.04.4 - xfce4-weather-plugin 0.11.2  does not work
Debian 13 - xfce4-weather-plugin 0.11.3-1  works great

The xfce4-weather-plugin 0.11.2 does not provide any weather information at all, and hasn't in a long time (years.)

What is the most hassel-free method of upgrading my Xubuntu machines to use xfce4-weather-plugin 0.11.3-1  ??

Do no harm.

Re: xfce4 weather plugin

Yes, the older version was broken then fixed in the new version. If you search the forums here there were a couple discussions about it and a fix as I remember. I think it was a source build but not sure. Best thing would be to install the newer version if possible.

It's alright, when you find your way, then you see it disappear
