How does one handles custom file icons in Thunar ?

I got this bunch of files from … somewhere and when listed in Thunar, they show with what seems to be a custom icon in the left column.

How is this called ? Can I act on this icon ?

The FLAC format allows you to embed a lot of metadata, including images; it may be that your collection contains its own icons.

Thanks, indeed, in this case I was able to handle icons with metaflac.

(Maybe some day I'll rephrase all this in more general terms, as this specific-tiny-icon behaviour occurs for many other file formats, visual or aural.)
