Hi everyone, I’m running a lightweight Linux setup with XFCE and trying to streamline a workflow where I edit/export videos from mac video editor (via compatibility layer/web version) and manage output on the same system, but I’m facing a consistent issue during export where performance drops significantly—CPU usage spikes, UI becomes unresponsive, and sometimes the export either freezes or produces a partially rendered file; what’s confusing is that the system itself remains relatively stable outside of CapCut, so it feels like something in XFCE’s resource handling (window compositor, panel, or session manager) might be conflicting with how CapCut handles rendering/export in the backend; I’ve tried disabling compositor, adjusting display settings, and monitoring system load, but the issue persists, especially with slightly larger projects, so I’m wondering if anyone else has faced similar behavior using XFCE with heavy rendering apps or has recommendations for optimizing this setup without switching to a heavier desktop environment.
