Tumblrd is generating thumbnails of downloading files in loop

Tumblerd continuously regenerates the thumbnails of a video while it is being downloaded or copied. Is this the expected behavior? Is there any way to stop it until the download or copy has finished?

Yes this is default behaviour. The only way to not have it happen, is to not have thunar open in the folder where its downloading. Either that or you disable video thumbnails all together.

Yes, I am guilty of wishing it wasn't so eager to make thumbnails so constantly during video downloads also. An idea might be to check the filename extension, If a known video extension, and thumbnail is less than 1 minute old, don't try to make a thumbnail???
