Hi to everyone. I did a quick cursory search for this before posting, and couldn't find anything. So here goes: I have MX Linux XFCE installed, and am using all XFCE defaults (as far as the compositor goes). But when I was using Picom before, it worked great with everything except for Thunar. Let me explain real quick. You see, when I had both fade-in and fade-out transitions enabled, that worked great with every application I had on my PC - again, except for Thunar. The fade-in transition worked with Thunar, but the fade-out wouldn't happen at all with it.
What happened when I would close Thunar was that the window would disappear without a transition. Is there any way to fix this? I have done some research online (with the help of ChatGPT), and it seems like this happens only with Thunar because of a timing and/or compositing issue. It's a bit frustrating because Picom does work great on XFCE except for with Thunar. The fade-in works great; no problem. But the fade-out is problematic. It makes for an inconsistent UI experience. Any advice? Or is this something the XFCE team has to look into?
Thanks.

Hello,
But the fade-out is problematic.
It's not the fade-out, more like any animation you use for closing the window don't work, minimize is fine.
I wonder if Thunar working as server/client might be the cause.

You're right - the minimize button works on Thunar. But the close button results in an abrupt closure.
Every other application closes with a fade-out. Not Thunar. This is a bit frustrating. There's gotta be a fix.
