[SOLVED] Screen settings in Power Manager 4.20 doesn't change anything

xfce-power-manager 4.20.
no screensaver.

in "Screen" tab, changing time for sleep and shutdown doesn't change anything in behaviour of my screen during idle time.
What and how can I debug it?

ps -ef | grep -E 'screensaver|locker' | grep -v grep

returns nothing

Install xfce4-screensaver.

Re: [SOLVED] Screen settings in Power Manager 4.20 doesn't change anything

I've just did and rebooted machine, however nothing's changed, still no reaction.
I've set to start screensaver after 5 minutes of idle.
But how does power manager's screen tab option affect it?
E.g. screensaver set for 5 minutes. In pm "Screen" tab I've set sleep and turning off after 1 and 2 minutes.
How should it behave?

If the power manger is set as you say sleep at 1 minute and turn off at 2. You will never see the screen saver because the screen is off. Also make sure you set it depending if your plugged in or on battery.

Oh my god, I'm so stupiiiiid!
Presentation mode = ON -.-

I've just turned it off and everything got back to normal.
And it's not the first time I've had this issue.
Now I'm wondering if there could be some mechanism to turn off automatically or notify about presentation mode set on. In my case it's not the first time I forgot to turn it off.

HAHAHA!
I'm not sure about an auto shut off but you can turn on the indicator so it shows in the panel that it's on.

Re: [SOLVED] Screen settings in Power Manager 4.20 doesn't change anything

I have autohiding panel, so I usually don't look at indicators. I feel like for my case much more useful could be some reminder notification popping after e.g. boot/wake "hey, you still have presentation mode ON, click here to turn it off". I feel it could be a nice UX addition.
And presentation mode should be OFF by default after a reboot or poweoff/poweron.
