[SOLVED] Can't subscribe to mail.xfce.org - "Xfce general discussion"

I have been trying to subscribe to the Xfce mailing list
https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce
but I haven't received a confirmation email since yesterday.

I am using the same email address that successfully receives notifications from this forum (from noreply@xfce.org), so I know the address is working. Is there typically a delay in confirmation emails, or is there something else I should check?
