icon issues with docklike taskbar

hello everyone im having a weird issue with this panel element, first of all something seems to be overriding my icon theme.
but then when i right click and select the correct icon, it does nothing.
is not a big issue but im wondering what it could be
thanks everyone for all your continued work and time for reading this small post
im on mx linux 23 and xfce v4.20 docklike v0.4.1

yea sorry for not specifiyn, is for both.

Im also having another weird issue with "ghost" icons appearing like the xfce config app but when i open the actual program and close it, it goes away

Do you have any content in a ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini file? If so, can you post it back?
