xfce4 notifyd lacks icon, summary, body option

OS: XFCE Linux Mint 21

My xfce4-notifyd-config lacks the "when showing notifications show icon, summary and body" pull down menu that shows up here:

https://docs.xfce.org/apps/xfce4-notifyd/preferences

I'd like to turn the icon and the buttons off if possible.

Thanks for your help.

My xfce4-notifyd-config lacks the "when showing notifications show icon, summary and body" pull down menu that shows up here:

You must be using an older version of xfce4-notifyd. I believe that option was added sometime in the 0.7x branch.

Re: xfce4 notifyd lacks icon, summary, body option

Gotcha. I had a look at the installation instructions and wasn't super sure how to implement them. Am I missing an easier way to install the newer version? The older version is the one that comes up in Synaptic.

Likely the issue is your running the previous release of Mint. The latest release is 23.**.

Eriefisher, you were spot on, I upgraded to Linux Mint XFCE 22.3 and it's all there. Thanks for your help.
