If so, how to enable it ?.

Re: xfce4-terminal + sixel

xfce4-terminal has been prepped to support sixel: https://gitlab.xfce.org/apps/xfce4-term … equests/58.

You need to use a version of vte3 that is built with sixel support. Currently, since its not part of mainline vte3, you will need to manually build vte3 form the master branch (development) for it to work: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/vte/-/wo … ote_886802.

Re: xfce4-terminal + sixel

Thanks.

Does it mean downloading all the VTE3 dev files + xfce4-terminal files and trying to compile it on my machine?. Sounds complicated with all the dependencies. No pre-compiled binary available with sixel enabled ?.

Only VTE3 needs to be compiled with the right option, problem is, you have to do this every time VTE3 is updated.
You can also replace xfce4-terminal with a sixel compatible terminal emulator.
