I have fedora core 5 and have just installed xfce 4.2.3.2 and want to get icons on the desktop.
someone posted on some other thread about Settings manager > Desktop > Behavor, but there is no Behavor tab, just backdrop and menu.
what am i doing wrong, and how can i get icons.
thanks, David.
The 'behavior' tab you're talking about is a new feture to the 4.4 series which is currently in the BETA stages, to use icons in the 4.2x series you need a desktop manager such as iDesk, Nautilus or ROX (which I personally reccomend as it's easy to set up, lightweight and a dayum good file manager becides but if you happen to LOVE GNOME's Nautilus go with that.)
Hope to have helped ^.^
