Hello all.
Any word on plans to update XFLD to the new XFCE code base?
It would be great to keep the SMP 2.4 kernel option & just update XFCE & the apps.
Be sure to keep IPW2200 in and don't forget about RT2500!
The 2.4 kernel on old machines still screams and some old hardware (like Dell servers) have issues with SMP on 2.6.
XFLD is probably my favorite distro next to Kanotix. Kanotix would be the One if it didn't force me to use KDE.
XFLD is fast, has almost every app you could need and allows for both 2.6 & 2.4 SMP kernels.
Oh, and don't forget to replace Captive-NTFS with FUSE. ;-)
All the best & keep up the good work!
Dave

A new release of XFLD is planned. A co-worker of mine is working on it, and it already boots, but is still a bit rough around the edges so it'll take some time to get finished.
