I voted "other" for emelFM2 (although sometimes it is Thunar that I use). Both are well done, in their own way.

XFmedia, i used to use mpd, i like the fact fact that xfmedia includes everything and looks nice.
I use conky for system monitoring and to show my Gmails, to do list, Seti status and results and important RSS
