one-click icons on the desktop and unwanted icons

Hello there, I've two problems:

1) I just want to do a single-click to open a link on the desktop.
2) I don't want the Filesystem icon on my desktop. How can I remove it?

Thank you for your help.

Interested in single-click to.

Don't think there is any easy way to change for all gtk-apps,
but it would be good.
