remove leading zeros in orage clock

is it possible to remove the leading 0s in the orage clock??
this is what i gots: %a, %b %d // %r
the date looks good, but the time is 08:43:57 PM
and i want just 8:43.....blah.. anyways?? is there a string to do that ???
