xfce4-4.4RC1 under Ubuntu Dapper

hi Everybody,

I'm trying to install xfce4-4.4RC1 and I always get an error during the compiling process. Herafter stages of the installation :

sh-3.1$ chmod +x xfce4-4.4RC1-installer.run
sh-3.1$ xhost +localhost
localhost being added to access control list
sh-3.1$ sudo ./xfce4-4.4RC1-installer.run
Verifying file integrity... OK.
Extracting the installer... OK.
Checking for usable C compiler... gcc
Checking for usable C++ compiler... g++
Checking for GNU make... make
Checking for package config tool... pkg-config
Checking for GLib (GModule) >= 2.6.0... detected 2.10.3 in /usr
Checking for Gtk+ >= 2.6.0... detected 2.8.20 in /usr
Compiling installer-gui... failed, see /home/coleno/.xfce4.installer-log for details
Cleaning up... OK.

Would some one can help me for resolving that. Thanks in advance

Upload the /home/coleno/.xfce4.installer-log file somewhere and post link
here, this info is pretty much useless :-).

Common compile problem: make sure you have the -devel version of
common packages (gtk+, glib, ..).

I installed a server, got X working then did these:

apt-get build-dep libxfce4mcs
apt-get install libdrm-dev x11proto-fonts-dev x11proto-video-dev x11proto-xf86dri-dev xserver-xorg-dev libxml-parser-perl libCGI-perl libhtml-parser-perl libhtml-tagset-perl libhtml-tree-perl liburi-perl libwww-perl libice-dev libncurses5-dev libsm-dev libvte-dev libglib2.0-cil libgtk2.0-cil libvte2.0-cil mono-classlib-1.0 libatk1.0-dev libcairo2-dev libexpat1-dev libfontconfig1-dev libfreetype6-dev libgtk2.0-dev libpango1.0-dev libpng12-dev libx11-dev libxau-dev libxcursor-dev libxdmcp-dev libxext-dev libxfixes-dev libxft-dev libxi-dev libxinerama-dev libxrandr-dev libxrender-dev x-dev x11proto-core-dev x11proto-fixes-dev x11proto-input-dev x11proto-kb-dev x11proto-randr-dev x11proto-render-dev x11proto-xext-dev x11proto-xinerama-dev zlib1g-dev libglib2.0-dev libglib1.2-dev xlibs-dev libasound2-dev libxml2-dev libdbus-glib-1-dev libdbus-1-dev

Compiled and ran happily on Dapper.
