Failed to connect to the Trash [SOLVED]

Installed Xfce 4.4RC1 and find that the trash applet, when added to the panel, gives this error message:

Failed to connect to the Trash
The name org.xfce.FileManager was not provided by any .service files

Re: Failed to connect to the Trash [SOLVED]

It just means that thunar is not running. Start thunar and this warning should go away.
it is more like a message than symptom of danger.

Well, loading thunar fixes it, but as soon as I close thunar, the problem returns. I found that loading the thunar daemon works, without having to keep thunar loaded:

thunar --daemon
