Does anyone know of a good way one could figure out how to port a gnome desklet to XFCE, i would love to port Suse slab (or ubuntu;s uSlab) but i am kinda lost as to where i should start. Any ideas?

Re: SLAB + xFCE

If you want it as part of the XFCE menu file a bug report or ask on the mailing list.
Otherwise install the gnome-main-menu package and run it.

Re: SLAB + xFCE

If you're running svn/beta you can use the xfapplet plugin to run any gnome panel applet. But you will have to run some gnome processes.

Just start hacking... wink

Documentation
http://xfc.xfce.org/index.xhtml

Other plugins and maby some help
goodies.xfce.org

Python-bindings
http://pyxfce.xfce.org/

There are other bindings but I only got Pythonbindings running. They are good and easy to use. Only a little bad documented.
