execute: xfce-setting-show wmtweaks
go to Compositor tab and adjust Opacity of popup windows.
Thank you. That was really easy.
I saw that several times but always thought, well popups are that nasty little windows in the world wide web I remember from times when I used windows and I don't need them anymore :-)
Cheers

gimmix looks kool, but can it display album cover art? i like that
oh' and nice shot as always.
Nope no album art , and I've had a look at the sats for sonata and gimmix and there about the same.
I've been playing with gnome-launch-box its got some hefty gnome deps though, and I've tryed theming the panel after someone ask if it could be done.

Xfce-4.3.99.2 built on Xorg-7.1 and a multi-lib Cross LFS using the Bender (1.0.0) release with a few deviations. The Xfce4-Panel code was patched with http://www.loculus.nl/xfce/files/panel-cairo.patch that Jasper posted back in October '06. Several panel plugins are in use, including the screenshot plugin which was used to capture these images.
Testing notification-daemon-xfce, but didn't capture the pop-up message either time :-x.

If anyone is interested, here's an updated version:
http://www.loculus.nl/xfce/files/panel- … 0125.patch
It uses a fixed alpha mask of 0.2, but you could change that if you wanted. A few more items should be transparent now.
Still kind of an ugly hack, so use at your own risk...

Got Xfce-4.4 installed on my Gentoo box. Jasper's panel transparency patch applied...it may be hackish, but I really dig it.
