Quitting a session from command line

I'd like to quit my sessions from command line so that session gets saved. From command line because I do not run xfce4-panel. I tried looking ~/.config/xfce4/panel/contents.xml but instead of using <Command>-tag Quit-button is expressed with <Control id filename="libsystembuttons.so" ... /> so no can do.
