[solved] xfce-mcs-manager warning

I'm running Xfce 4.4.0 and when I shutdown X and return to the command line, I'm seeing this error on the screen:

xfce-mcs-manager-WARNING **: Module /opt/xfce4/lib/xfce4/mcs-plugins/libxffmsettings.so cannot be opened (libxfcegui4.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)

I'm running Arch Linux but I don't think that has anything to do with the problem.  Everything seems to be working, but errors and warnings always bother me, especially when I don't know why I'm getting them.

Anyone know what might be causing this warning?

Thanks for your help.

Re: [solved] xfce-mcs-manager warning

You probably have the xffm package installated and because this is not part of Xfce many more (and so linked to the old version of libxfcegui4) it refuses to start. You either need to recompile xffm (so it links to libxfcegui4 again) or switch to Thunar. (pacman -R xffm && pacman -S thunar)

Thanks for the suggestions. Nick  smile

I guess when I upgraded to 4.4.0, the old xffm didn't get removed automatically, because removing xffm did the trick.

Thanks again!
