Transparent panel with opaque icons?

I've got the compositor working with xfwm4 on Dapper.

Is there any way to set up the panel so that both launcher and iconbox icons are 100% opaque, with the panel background 100% transparent?

It's not critical or anything; I'm just screwing around.
