back up DVD

Hi;

I have several children DVD's I'd like to back up before my little boy scratches them too much.
First I'd like to copy the DVD's to my hard drive, and them maybe burn them back to a DVD at a later stage if the used ones fail.

I'd really appreciate somebody talking me through the process.

Pick a burning application here and create an iso.
