iconbox ?

I noticed in 4.4 the iconbox is built into the panel is there any way of bringing this out of the panel like the old 4.2 days and I can just have a iconbox somewhere on my desktop not tied to a panel ?

Re: iconbox ?

You can create a floating panel and add only an iconbox?

Re: iconbox ?

Hi people,

I come from OSX and I liked de iconbox feature a lot, because it resembles the "dock" feature in OSX. For me, it replaces the taskbar perfectly.

As an user, I would like to suggest an improvement:  smile
The icons become gray ("disabled") when the respective windows are hidden, and colorful when the windows are open.
Wouldn't it be better if we put a mark (like a triangle or circle in the dock) to show wich windows are active? So we won't have those washed icons any more.

In fact, I would like it even more if we could make sticky icons that work as launchers when the respective apps are closed (and then maybe in this state they would look gray?).

Well, thanks for the attention.
