how to install new "icons"

i have just installed Xfce on Arch Linux (Voodo). i only want to know how to install new "icons".  it has only one icon theme named "Rodent" in "user interface settings" menu. i have GNOME's "unoffical Tango" icon them in "tar.gz" format. can i install it in Xfce?

i ask because i had GNOME earlier and i installed "Tango ICON theme" there and it appeared in Xfce *too* but now i dont want to install GNOME. i only want to use Xfce, i am quite happy with Xfce

:-)
