Thunar question.

I love Thunar, and have been using its since its 0.3* days. The one big
feature I have been missing is the ability for Thunar to save a
directory view/zoom options. I know you can set a view option like
details and zoom in but it saves it as default for every directory.

What I am asking is will Thunar ever adopt a saving point?  Lets say my photos folder I want zoom to be set
at 120% to have nice big thumbnails, but for the rest of my directories
I want zoom to be only 80%. Or lets say I want my text/documents folder
to be in details view, my "media/mnt" folder to be compact list, but set
the rest of directories to be icons view.

Will Thunar crew ever adopt this idea like many other File Managers
have? Nevertheless, Thunar rules!

Also, does anyone know the command xfdesktop uses to set the wallpaper?
I am trying to make a custom action for Thunar to set a photo as a
wallpaper by just right clicking on the photo and click set as
wallpaper.

1. In menu choose: settings -> desktop settings. On appearance tab select "show image" option, create new wallpapers list with only one picture.
2. Open Thunar. In edit menu choose "Configure custom actions". Add new action, name it somehow,  in command box insert:
Code:

sed -i -e "s:^/.*$:%f:" -e "s:^'::" -e "s:'$::" /path/to/list/created/in/step_1 && xfdesktop -reload

On "appearance condition" tab select image files.

If you right click on image in thunar you will see your new action, try it smile
