changing resolution without graphic

Hi,
i use gentoo and i have compiled xfce4.4. I run it first time and I wanted to change resolution in settings-manager/display-settings. But I get wrong and clicked on 1x1px. Pls tell me how to change it back.

I would look for files in ~/.config/xfce4. You can do this from runlevel 3 (i.e. non graphics). I guess it is the file ~/.config/xfce4/mcs_settings/display.xml, which has an entry XDisplay/size. In my case it is set on -1 (default setting).
