lauch apps on startup

Hi all.
Just a fast question.
It is possible to launch some apps on startup?
I've seen on some gentoo wiki something about an ~/Desktop/Autostart folder. but I think that is old and some what not elegant.

Could this be achieved just with session saving?

Re: lauch apps on startup

From the Main Menu, Settings => Autostarted applications.

Then add what you want in there.
