Terminal

Hi

I have just complied XFCE 4.4.0 on to Mandriva 2007

All working OK apart from when i Press the button to open a terminal the X windows resets and i have to login again

If i change the command line to Xterm it all work ok

I have tried opening a xterm and running ./xfterm4 and the same thing happens

i have the same problem in fedora core 6. do you already know a solution?.

What happens when you run the 'Terminal' application inside another terminal (warnings, same x reset, ..) and is the default terminal emulator set in setting-> preferred applications?

same x reset, no matter what is the preferred application selected for terminal emulation.
however, if i run program (Alt + F2) xterm or gnome-terminal, the corresponding terminal open fine.
